This is absolutely GORGEOUS! I wouldn't do a thing. Face it and stop. Nothing should distract from this wonderful piece. I wish I'd made it!

Pat if you must feel that you need to frame the piece, and framing owuld fetch you a higher sale price, then float it on a dark background.

I'd maybe pick the darkest color or matt black as your bkgrd color. Keep the frame simple, or use a lexan/plexiglass box to frame your piece, this would have no frames to speak of the sides would be clear. Again keep the bkgrd matt dark and visually to a minium in size.

this is elgant, so the finish should be plainish to not overwhelm it, so my suggestion is pink-red matte to tonw with the colours in the work and a fine plain cream/beige frame. I would not cover it with glass or anything.
