September/October with Family in New York & Vermont

Following a year of three joint replacements, we decided to take a long vacation and visit all of our children, grandkids, and great-grands. First stop, Albany, NY where our grandson is studying for his PhD in nano-science & technology at SUNY Albany. While there, we attended a High Kings (Celtic band) concert at "the Egg." That was a fun experience - both the concert and the Egg! Albany itself was quite beautiful, too.

Here are some street shots from Albany, NY - including the Egg.

And in the daylight...

And then we left for Vermont, where our oldest granddaughter lives with our son & his wife, and her twin daughters. This is how we found the girls waiting patiently for our arrival!

Some shots of our adventures together.

And the Townshend Town Square!

And our goodbye photos for the memory books...

It was a wonderful visit, long overdue.

The next blog post will feature the rest of our vacation - in Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park on Mount Desert Island, Maine.
