Spring in NJ - again or finally???

After last weekend's Nor'easter, we are now having sunny, mild, mid-seventy to eighty degree temperatures in central Jersey. What a welcome change!

The Skunk Cabbage is making its appearance in the woodland areas, especially where it is boggy - which pretty much describes the area of Monmouth Battlefield State Park that is behind our home... The swamp is also home to thousands of peepers, those tiny spring frogs that sing spring into summer...

Grape Hyacinth in bloom at long last!

This is the Flicker who awakens us every morning and drums often throughout the day into twilight announcing his territory to all within hearing distance. He's chosen the aluminum on top of our chimney as a marvelous, echoing drum!

Nature's Art...the Flicker, the flowers...how great it is for you to have a beautiful, watchful sentry Flicker!

Mazel Tov on the Somerset exhibition; it looks great!
