This print was done on hand-painted Lutradur and the images all seemed to come off rather well. There's a small map, post cards, a Lake Elmo, MN graduation list, and a recipe along with a photo of my grandparents, mother & uncle. copyright Pat Dolan
I'm using my inkjet printer to print on a clear transparency FILM - available at Staples, etc. Then I use Golden's Soft Gel - 1st brushed on the fabric where I plan to place the print, then on the inked side of the transparency film. Then place the gooey side down + gently burnish the film until one HOPES it all transfers from the film surface to the fabric via Golden Soft Gel. (It prints in reverse, so I reverse my print in Photoshop - especially if I want to read the maps or recipes!) It sounds more complicated than it is!

I just googled Lutradur...blogging is so educational and informative :)
I love the pieces...are you printing directly onto the fabric or actually using transfer paper???

thanks pat...i purchased the golden gel medium last month for the purpose of trying just this method but haven't gotten the transparency film yet.
Oooo! I want to try this. How lucky are you to have a workshop with Rayna! I'm taking a class with Jane Dunnewold next March and I can't wait!
Your photo projects are very nice. Maybe I need to go look for some Lutradur. I think I even know where to get some.
